Alex is excited to meet with her line manager Milli for a social get together, only to discover that being friends with your boss never ends up favourably!
The Hat Method is an entertaining satire about toxic workplace culture and exploitative labour practices that have become alarmingly normalized under late-stage capitalism.
This is a women-led project that weaves together voices from diverse generations and cultural backgrounds.
Erifili Missiou is a comedy writer/director with a background in fine arts. She blends social commentary with nuanced character study, playfully unveiling the gaps between how we choose to see ourselves and how we actually behave.
She is currently developing 'Flight to Athens', a comedy-drama feature film exploring the cultural displacement and identity crisis of a Greek expat in London, and 'Tell-it-Like-it-is', a series that satirizes the pretensions and politics of film criticism. Her short ‘Beef Steak and Sardines’ was selected by three international festivals and won a Best Female Director award.
She is head programmer at The Garden Cinema and artistic director of EFN Short Film Festival.
